went to portland last weekend

It was such a blast. Brenden’s friend and roommate from college martin had us stay at his house, and his roommate parker and his girlfriend were awesome people as well. We even had our own guest room. Anyway it was cool because Martin does film and has been recently making music videos and things (it’s refreshing to meet someone in the arts who is making it; kind of gave me a boost in the hopes I have for my own path). But I digress. We arrived on friday at about 10:30 and bar hopped till we got home at 3, which was awesome. This one bar with an outdoor area and fire pits was rad, and I can’t quite remember the name. On saturday Brenden dropped mescaline and I was rollin wit Molly at the Portland zoo, which was enticing to say the least. Brenden hadn’t been to a real zoo since he was like 7. We ate at some cute and satisfying cafes, shopped a bit in the hawthorne district, went to Jake’s during the intense thunderstorm and we sat outside while eating delicious oysters on the half shell, browsed Powell’s books, visited some of my favorite people Libby and Makrai, both of whom I hadn’t seen in years. We drank wine and had cheese and were merry. Such a fucking awesome memorial day weekend. better than sasquatch
